The Concern Nigerian Movement in Germany calls on the National Chairman of the ruling party in Nigeria, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to stop painting the image of Nigeria in a dark color, by consistently raising allegations that portray the country as an unsafe and violent country for investors and tourist especially in this governorship electioneering period in the country.
A few weeks ago, he alleged attack on him in Edo state, Nigeria, while the police commissioner of the state refuted his alleged attack. Again, Mr. Oshiomole and Mr. Yekini Nabena of APC made public allegations of arms stockpiling ahead of the forthcoming governorship election by the opposition party, PDP, in Bayelsa, Nigeria.
A former labor union leader, governor of a state, and presently the National Chairman of the ruling party in Nigeria should know better than every word that he acknowledges has a political and economic influence both internally and externally on the country.
It is not healthy for the image of the country the ways and manners he is portraying the security image of the country and her citizens.
Mr. Oshiomole is indirectly implicating the APC government by going public on every issue that has to do with security when the security of the nation lies in the hand of the government of his party.
Mr. Adams Oshiomole should think of the country`s image first and try to control himself and step up as a modern leader that thinks more strategically and holistically rather than thinking of just election-winning.
Mr. President Buhari and his party should call Mr. Oshiomole to order or get him replaced if he can`t discharge his roles in a broader perspective as a modern political leader.
